Atlanta, Georgia — tell us what you need and we will route it

Tell us what you are trying to move

Almost every system ERS has built started as a short description of a material and a problem. You do not need drawings, a part number or a written specification to get a useful answer. Tell us what the material is, roughly how much of it you make, and what you need to happen to it, and an engineer will tell you what is possible.

Spare parts and service

You already run an ERS system and you need a part or a hand. Tell us which machine it is and describe the part. You do not need a part number — the machine and a description are enough. Write to parts@engineeredrecycling.com or call +1 770-954-8780.

A new system

A line you are planning, or a stage that is holding back a line you already run. Tell us the material, roughly how much of it, and the building it has to go into. An engineer will come back to you rather than a salesperson, and the first question will be about your material rather than our machines.

Send us a sample

When the answer depends on how the material actually behaves, send us some of it. The ERS Test Facility in Atlanta runs full-scale equipment on customer material, so a recovery figure is measured on your material rather than estimated from someone else’s.

Write to us

Tell us what you need and we will put you with the right person — spare parts, service on a system you already run, or a new line you are planning.

For parts and service, choose Parts Service in the form and tell us which machine. You do not need a part number — the machine and a description of the part is enough. A photograph of the part on the machine is worth more than a drawing.

For a new system, tell us the material, roughly how much of it, and the plant it is going into. An engineer will come back to you rather than a salesperson.

The four things worth putting in the first message: what the material is, roughly how much of it you produce, what you need to happen to it, and the building it has to fit in. Those four answers are usually enough for an engineer to tell you whether the job is straightforward, whether it needs a test, or whether it is not something ERS should be doing.

No part number, no problem

Most calls about a blockage, a worn wear part or a drive fault are handled from Atlanta by someone who knows the machine. Describe what you are seeing and we will work it out from there. If it turns out a part has to ship, telling us the machine and the symptom in the first message is usually what saves the most time.

Please add 1 and 3.

What happens after you write

Parts and service

Anything about a machine that is already running goes straight to the parts and service mailbox in Atlanta. You will be dealing with people who have the drawings for your system in front of them, and who can talk through a mechanical or pneumatic problem with you directly. Much of it never needs anyone to get on a plane. See Service & Support for what that covers.

A new line or an upgrade

New system inquiries go to an engineer, not to a call list. The first conversation is about your material, your volumes and your building, because those decide the design. If the honest answer is that ERS is not the right supplier for what you are describing, you will be told that early rather than late.

Material you want tested

If the question is what the material will actually yield, the ERS Test Facility in Atlanta will run it on full-scale equipment. You get a measured result on your own material instead of a figure from a brochure.

Atlanta is where the engineering, the test facility and the parts stock all sit, which is why a question about a machine and a question about a new line end up in the same building. If you are planning to come and watch your own material run on the test line, say so when you write, so the equipment is set up for it before you arrive.

What ERS builds

Two lanes, treated equally. On the metals side, shredding, milling, separation and recovery lines for wire, cable, electronics and scrap — see Metals Processing and the TAURUS range. On the converting side, trim removal, pneumatic conveying and dust collection for corrugated, folding carton, tissue and label plants — see Paper Converting Systems.

Across both, dust collection and industrial air filtration, including the CCM® OCT filter, which cleans its own media while the plant keeps running.

If you are not sure which of those your problem belongs to, write anyway and describe the material. Sorting that out is our job, not yours. A short description of the material beats a long description of the machine you think you need.
