Engineered Recycling Systems – Cyclone Separators for Industrial Dust Collection
Cyclone separators from ERS deliver powerful, efficient separation of particulate matter from high-volume airstreams — engineered for fibrous, granular, and abrasive dust in industrial environments. At Engineered Recycling Systems, we design and integrate cyclone separator systems that deliver powerful, efficient separation of particulate matter from high-volume airstreams. Engineered for industrial environments, our cyclone separators are ideal for applications involving fibrous, granular, and abrasive dust—such as paper, plastic, wood, and metal processing.
These systems serve as primary or pre-separation stages to reduce dust loading on downstream filters, extend system life, and improve overall air handling efficiency.
Key Features of ERS Cyclone Separator Systems
-
High-Efficiency Particle Separation
Cyclonic airflow design separates heavier particles from the air before reaching the filtration stage—reducing filter wear and maintenance.
-
Rugged Construction
Fabricated with heavy-duty materials to withstand high airflow volumes and abrasive dust environments, ensuring long service life.
-
Flexible Integration
Can be used as standalone separators or as pre-cleaners in multi-stage dust collection systems—scalable for any industrial process.
-
Low Maintenance Design
No moving parts and minimal maintenance requirements make cyclone separators a reliable first line of defense in your dust control strategy.
-
Optimized Performance
Engineered for maximum efficiency based on airflow volume, dust type, and plant layout—reducing pressure drop and energy consumption.
Applications
ERS Cyclone Separators are ideal for:

Where a cyclone fits in the system
A cyclone separator is rarely the whole answer — it is the stage that makes everything after it work. In an industrial dust collection system the cyclone takes the heavy fraction out of the airstream first, so the filter behind it handles only the fine dust it was sized for. Skip that stage and the filter does both jobs, blinds early, and the fan works harder every day to pull the same air.
That matters most where the material is abrasive. Metal fines, grit and granulated plastic will wear filter media long before they wear a steel cyclone body, and replacing media is a recurring cost while the cyclone is a one-time one.
Where the dust is light and fibrous — paper trim, corrugated dust, tissue fly — a cyclone still earns its place by dropping the bulk of the material into a collection point you can empty on your own schedule, rather than into the filter hopper.
Where headroom is the problem, we specify a low profile separator instead. It does the same job in a fraction of the height, which is what makes it the usual choice on a mezzanine or under an existing roof.
Behind either one, continuous operations get the CCM® OCT filter, and in combustible dust applications we build explosion-proof filtration to match the hazard.
ERS sizes the cyclone to the actual airflow, the actual dust and the actual building — not from a chart. We fabricate it, install it, balance the system under load, and support it afterwards with spare parts and field service out of Atlanta.
Bring your material to our test facility in Atlanta and we will run it before you commit.
