A shear that keeps cutting while the handler keeps loading turns a stop-start day into a steady one.

That is the idea behind the TAURUS TR Continuous Feed Inclined Shear. Every time a shear stops to be reloaded, the yard stops with it. The handler waits and the shift gets shorter. The TR is built around that. Its feed box is inclined, so material keeps feeding down to the blade under its own weight while the operator keeps filling the box behind it.

Heavy plate, pipe, structural steel and mixed grades go in at the top. Cut material comes out the bottom, sized for the next stage of the yard.

TAURUS publishes these figures for the TR range. Each is a ceiling for the range, not one machine:

Cutting width
up to 59 in
(1,500 mm)
Cutting force
up to 1,984 short tons
(1,800 t)
Lateral and vertical compression
up to 551 short tons each
(500 t)
Installed power
up to 1,274 hp
(950 kW)
Output
up to 110 short tons per hour
(100 t/h)

Engineered Recycling Systems is the U.S. distributor for TAURUS. We size the machine to the yard it has to work in, we install it, and we service it in the United States.
