Welcome to Engineered Recycling Systems

Engineered Recycling Systems is an American manufacturer of recycling and dust collection systems. From Atlanta, Georgia we design, build and install the heavy industrial machinery that paper converters, scrap processors and electronics recyclers run every day. ERS is an equipment manufacturer and systems integrator, not a recycling service — we build the line, our customers operate it.

We engineer complete systems for two core industrial sectors: Paper Converting and Metals & Recycling — dust collection, trim and matrix removal, pneumatic conveying, metals recovery, e-waste processing and battery-material recovery, all built for clean operation, stable airflow and long-term reliability.

Paper Converting Systems

ERS supports tissue, towel, corrugated, boxboard, and flexible packaging operations with engineered dust collection and trim removal systems designed for high-speed production. Our solutions stabilize airflow, capture fine particulate at the source, and keep converting floors clean and efficient — including specialized systems for TAD-based tissue products.

Metals & Recycling Systems

For scrap processors, wire and cable recyclers, ASR facilities, electronics recyclers and emerging battery-material operations, ERS delivers complete metals recovery and separation systems. From copper wire and e-scrap to black mass recovery from lithium-ion and EV batteries, our systems are engineered for purity, throughput, and dependable performance.

Whether you're optimizing a single process or building a plant-wide solution, ERS provides the engineering, equipment, and support to keep your operation running clean, safe, and productive.

Engineered for performance. Built for real-world production.

The pre-compression box, and why both lids need overstroke

There is no point in a 1,000-ton shear if the pre-compression box cannot crush what that force is meant to cut. Part 3 covers honeycomb construction, overstroke on both lids, and the box cross-sections that match the cutting force.

ERS is exhibiting at CEBNA 2026, the Critical Minerals, Battery Recycling and E-Waste World Expo, booth 512. A home show for us — ERS and our test facility are both in Atlanta.

October 26 and 27, Hyatt Regency New Orleans

ERS is exhibiting at the E-Scrap Conference 2026 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans, booth 406. Jeff Wair and Mark Haire are on the stand to talk through your feed material — mixed boards, cable, power supplies and fines.

ERS is exhibiting at TAPPI CorrExpo 2027 in Cincinnati, September 27 to 29, at booth 429.

CorrExpo brings the corrugated industry together, and it is a good place to talk through what is actually happening on your floor. Come and tell us where the scrap is piling up, where the dust is going, and what stops the line.

ERS designs, builds and installs trim removal, scrap handling and dust collection systems for corrugated and paper converting plants across the United States and Canada, from the feed at the machine to a baled, saleable product.

Engineered Recycling Systems is proud to be actively involved in leading industry associations, supporting innovation, sustainability, and best practices in recycling and environmental technology.
