In corrugated and paperboard production, speed and uptime are everything. Yet many facilities still rely on legacy dust and scrap systems that introduce complexity, downtime, and exposure. External filter housings—whether mounted beside the building or above it—require structural accommodations, weather protection, and frequent maintenance. Baghouse filters in particular demand periodic regeneration cycles, compressed air, and pressure monitoring to stay operational.

ERS systems eliminate that model entirely.

Our integrated dust and scrap recovery solutions are built to operate entirely within the facility footprint. No external housings. No regeneration cycles. No pressure spikes. And critically—no rotary airlocks. By removing the need for these oversized, maintenance-heavy components, ERS systems simplify discharge, reduce wear, and eliminate a common failure point in traditional designs.

The CCM® Filter uses a rotating and oscillating nozzle system that cleans the filter media automatically every few minutes—without compressed air, without manual intervention, and without interrupting production. Dust is separated and discharged into compact containers, ready for disposal or reuse. The system maintains consistent airflow and filtration without relying on explosion venting protocols or external dependencies.

ERS systems are designed for corrugated producers who want performance without compromise. If your current setup still depends on external filter housings, baghouse cycles, and rotary airlocks, it may be time to rethink what modern dust control should look like.

ERS Redefines Metal Recovery: In-House ASR Processing vs. Outsourcing
by ERS
0

For decades, recyclers have depended on large-scale processors to handle Auto Shredder Residue (ASR), copper-rich scrap, and complex metal streams. While this model offers convenience, it often comes at the cost of control, speed, and profitability. Material is shipped out, margins are compressed, and recyclers are left waiting for someone else to determine the value of their output.

ERS offers a different path.

Our ASR processing systems are engineered for recyclers who want to own their process from start to finish. Whether you're handling Shredder Wire, ICW, tailings, or full ASR streams, ERS systems allow you to process material on-site—eliminating third-party contracts, shipping delays, and margin erosion.

With a modular, turnkey approach, ERS systems are tailored to fit your facility and your scrap profile. We focus heavily on copper recovery, knowing that even small improvements in yield can translate into significant gains in profitability. Our technology is backed by real-world validation, and our test facility is open for performance trials—so you can see the results before you invest.

In-house processing isn’t just about equipment—it’s about empowerment. You control the throughput. You keep the value. You claim the profit.

ERS systems are built for recyclers who are ready to stop outsourcing their margins and start owning their results.

High-purity aluminum scrap fragments flowing through Engineered Recycling Systems’ advanced recovery platform, representing Vesper-grade separation and clean material throughput.
ERS Systems Ready for New ReMA Vesper Standard in Aluminum Recovery
by ERS
0

The Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) has introduced Vesper, a new aluminum scrap specification focused on preserving the integrity of high-grade wrought aluminum recovered from vehicles, buildings, and industrial applications. As demand grows for clean, traceable, and circular aluminum recycling, Vesper sets a clear benchmark for purity and process control.

Vesper defines strict thresholds for magnesium, zinc, iron, and nonmetallics, and requires dry, non-oxidized material free of sealed or pressurized components. These standards aim to prevent high-quality aluminum from being downcycled into lower-grade cast alloys, supporting closed-loop reuse in manufacturing.

Engineered Recycling Systems designs and builds the recovery platforms that make this level of precision possible. Our modular systems—trusted across copper and aluminum wire processing—can be configured to support Vesper-grade separation and throughput. From granulation and air separation to magnetic and eddy current sorting, ERS technology empowers recyclers to meet evolving specifications with confidence.

If your operation is preparing for Vesper-grade aluminum recovery, ERS is ready to engineer the solution. Let’s build it together.
